When working with complex models that are displayed on many sheets, we need to orient certain sheets in certain ways in order to portray their information more effectively. Instead of copying portions of our model and rotating them in model space, we can rotate viewports in layout space independently from our elements in model space by using the command “MVSETUP”.

This function was used to setup drawing units, scales, and layers. While we don’t need to use it to prepare our models, we can still use it to rotate our viewports while keeping our model space “intact”.

The MVSETUP command is powerful and one of the best ways to rotate the content in our viewports. For more information, please contact us at info@ddscad.com
